The Sample

This is one of two samples made while developing the Reloved Originals Corduroy Coat, and it's handmade by me, in my flat. It's the coat that came before the coat: the one I tested the pattern, the construction and the fit on before cutting the first edition of ten.

It’s black corduroy with a button front, puff sleeves with tie cuffs, side pockets, and a gathered neckline and collar, so it drapes beautifully. Fully lined in a super soft acetate.

How it differs from the first edition: the lining is slightly shorter with slightly more dropped sleeves and lower pockets. This would suit someone taller as the sleeves are slightly longer and pockets lower down.

There is only one of these, and there won't be another.

Deadstock

We are giving this corduroy a second chance!

It's 455gsm 8-wale deadstock cord: industry leftover that was never used. It's heavy enough to hang the way a coat should, and warm enough for a harsh British winter.

Handmade

Every coat is cut and sewn by me, start to finish. Because it's handmade rather than one-of-one vintage, we accept returns within 14 days if the fit isn't right.

Sizing

The gathered fit means one size works across a wide range, roughly a UK 6–18.

One size: Pit to pit 26", length 48", sleeve 18", shoulder 11"

Mannequin is a size UK 6, 26" waist, 33" bust (where applicable)
